Coming to Montpellier will give you the opportunity to discover the cultural dynamism of one of the most prestigious university towns in Europe, close to the sea.

GETTING TO MONTPELLIER

GETTING AROUND MONTPELLIER

It is very easy thanks to the tramway and numerous bus lines. The IEFE is located in the faculties and hospitals district north of the city, 15 minutes from the medieval downtown. To go to the I.E.F.E., take the #1 tramway or the bus “La Ronde”, and get off at “Saint-Eloi” station.
From the A9 highway, take exit #29 “Montpellier Est”, and follow “Hôpitaux–Facultés” and “Université Paul-Valéry Montpellier III”.

CULTURE, SPORTS AND RECREATION

The University Sports Service (“SUAPS”) gives all students access to a large range of sports for a modest price (around 15€), while many student unions offer to participate in artistic activities and encounters. For any question,
please contact the Maison des Étudiants (= House of the Students) of the university.
Moreover, students from the I.E.F.E. enjoy student fees at cinemas, entertainment halls, transportation, etc.

YOUR HOUSING IN MONTPELLIER

The I.E.F.E. does not arrange accommodation for students (except summer sessions participants). Be aware that finding a place to live in big university towns can be difficult, even for French students. This is the case in Montpellier.
